Quick Workout Routine

Simple exercises to tone up – in front of the tv or during your lunch break, whenever  and wherever you want!

One thing you should know about me is that I am lazy and not very easy to motivate. However I have taken it upon myself to do a few exercises for my overall body strength so I my very modest muscle mass doesn’t end up withering away.
It’ll take about 10-15 minutes, so let’s go!

1. Warm up! 10-20 jumping jacks gets your body warmed up and your blood pumping.

2. Crunches – 3×20
Do as few or many as you like, I choose 3 sets of 20 with a 15-20 second break in between.
As pictured I lay down flat on my yoga mat bend my legs and put my hands behind my head (without pushing against my head) and lift my torso of the ground chest towards the ceiling, exhaling as I go up and inhaling as I go back down

3. Back lifts – 3×10
As pictured you lay flat on your stomach and lift your chest and arms on an inhale and lower back down on an exhale. Another variation of this is keeping your legs lifted slightly off the floor as you lift and lower your chest and arms.

4. Squats – 3×20

Pictured is an easier variation of a squat, use a chair that helps you create a 90 degree angle with your legs, don’t sit down but hover right over the seat. When you get the hang of it, stop using the chair.
Make sure you’re standing with your feet hip width apart and extend your butt back, making sure your knees do not extend over your toes.
You want to keep your back straight and create and 90 degree angle with your legs.

5. Push Ups – 3×6

As pictured I do pushups either on my knees or bent something elevated, such as the edge of my bed or a wall. If you can do regular push ups go for it!

I hope you found it helpful, if the pictures don’t offer you enough of an explaination search for youtube videos on how to do the exercises properly.
